KGNS 2026 Community Dash 5K Run/Walk
The KGNS 2026 Community Dash is a community 5K run and walk on October 10, 2026, at North Central Park in Laredo, Texas, presented as part of celebrations for the USA's 250th anniversary. The event is open to participants ages 4 and up; children age 6 and under must have adult supervision on the course. Strollers are permitted but are asked to start toward the back of the field. Pets are not allowed on the course; exceptions for certified service animals may be made on a case by case basis and participants using a service animal should contact the race organizers.
Practical details include free parking inside the park and packet pickup the day before the event at the United Way Office, 1815 E. Hillside Road. Shirts will be distributed at packet pickup to the first 100 participants and sizes are not guaranteed. Timing for the 5K is provided by Swift Timing using disposable timing chips attached to race bibs at packet pickup. Awards are offered by overall finish and by age group with results based on gun or chip time. Age groups include 10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over.
