Keystone Community Center 5K
The Keystone Community Center 5K offers both a live event and a virtual participation option in Roanoke. The live run and walk take place on the Tinker Creek Greenway, starting and finishing at the picnic shelter in Fallon Park. The course consists of a rolling paved greenway and follows an out-and-back route.
Participants in the live race can compete for awards. Medals are presented to the first, second, and third place overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are given to the top male and female finishers in several age divisions:
- 5 km (live and virtual options available)
The age divisions for awards include 0-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+.
The virtual event allows participants to complete the distance at a location of their choice between late May and late July. The first 100 finishers across both the live and virtual events receive a finisher medal after providing electronic proof of completion. T-shirts are provided to those who meet the registration deadline in May, with remaining shirts allocated by size as registration continues. Packet pick-up is held at the First Baptist Church of Roanoke and at Fallon Park on the morning of the live event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
