Kettlewell 10k Trail Race
The Kettlewell 10k Trail Race is part of the Due North Trail Race Series and uses the same route as the Kettlewell Trail Half Marathon for much of its distance. The course climbs out of Arncliffe to the top of Arncliffe Moor, then follows the moor top for about 3 km with mainly gentle downhill running and some undulating sections. Runners pass areas with views over Starbotton and Kettlewell and finish with a downhill stretch looking toward Kilnsey Crag.
The event is based at the car park field at Hawkswick Cote, where parking and toilets are provided and registration is handled from a tent in the car park. The course is partially way marked and there are drinks stations offering water and juice. A post race meal such as pie or soup is provided, along with Due North merchandise and sponsor goodies.
Minimum age to enter is 17. Entrants are asked to carry minimum kit including a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a cup or bottle for drinks stations, and a mobile phone with the race day number stored and a location app such as OS Locate.
