Kessel Run Ultra
Kessel Run Ultra takes place in Fruita, Colorado, in the North Fruita Desert on November 7, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances and runs on the local singletrack through high desert terrain with views of the San Juan Mountains and the Colorado National Monument.

All courses begin on fast, flowing singletrack and include sections on the Zippity-Do-Da Trail with steep ups and downs. The courses range in elevation from about 5,030 feet to about 5,541 feet depending on the distance.

The event is cupless: water dispensers are provided at the start/finish area and at each aid station for refilling bladders, bottles, and reusable cups. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the start line and also on race morning at the start line. Runners receive a race shirt, bib, BOCO technical trucker hat, and a finisher's medal.
