Kern Cancer Run/Walk and Festival - 2026
The Kern Cancer Run/Walk and Festival is a community fundraising event on September 12, 2026, at Riverwalk Park, 11298 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93311. This is the 13th annual event. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the Kern County Cancer Foundation to assist local patients with cancer-related medical bills and to help children who must travel for treatment.
The event program includes a festival with a vendor fair, live music, a survivor social area, and awards for race results and fundraising. A designated survivor tent will provide food and amenities for survivors and one guest; wristbands are issued at registration. Event T-shirts are available for purchase for $20 with a sales deadline of August 30, 2026; a limited number of shirts may also be sold on site.
Registration and fee details are planned as follows: early registration is $10, increasing to $20 after March 31, 2026. Children's registration is $10 for ages 3 to 11. Survivor registration is free; survivors may participate up to a 5K and timing can be arranged for survivors who choose to run. Prizes and awards include fastest times in categories, top fundraising teams and individuals, and prizes in the children's jog-a-thon by laps completed.
