Kenya Impact 5K - Gainesville, GA (May 8, 2027)
The Kenya Impact 5K is a community running event organized to benefit Anaweza Kenya, an organization working to make healthcare and education accessible in rural Kisumu County, Kenya. The event takes place at Midland Greenway, 682 Grove Street, Gainesville, GA 30501.
The event features multiple participation options and distances:
- 5K Run/Walk (in-person)
- Virtual 5K
- 1K Kids Fun Run
Registration opens March 30, 2027 and closes May 8, 2027. Registration fee options listed by the organizer include $30 for the standard 5K or virtual 5K, $25 for the 5K or virtual 5K without a shirt, and $15 for the Kids Fun Run (with a no-shirt option at the same fee). Registered participants receive an event t-shirt and a finisher award; the t-shirt sizing deadline for guaranteed sizing is April 27.
Awards are given three deep in overall, masters, and age group categories. Additional recognitions include a stroller division award and a four-legged friend division with a prize for the first dog-and-owner team to finish.
