Kent Cornucopia Days 5K
Kent Cornucopia Days is an annual summer 5K run and walk organized by the City of Kent. The course is described as flat and smooth, beginning and ending at Three Friends Fishing Hole (20025 Russell Road) and following the Green River Trail. The route heads north around Briscoe Park, briefly enters Tukwila, and returns to Three Friends the same way.
Registration opens in April. Fees listed include $20 without a shirt, $35 with a shirt, and a day of race fee of $25. Participants aged 60 and older are free; a shirt for those participants is available for an additional $15. The shirt order deadline is June 12. Early packet pick up is offered at Road Runner Sports at Kent Station. Awards are given to the top five finishers in each age group and to overall winners.
Dogs are not allowed on the course; strollers are permitted with appropriate positioning at the start. Parking is provided at the Columbia Distributing lot and event signage directs attendees to that lot; participants are asked not to park in neighboring warehouse or business lots. Sponsor booths and booth space are available as part of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
