Kennekuk Road Runners - Dogs & Cats
The event takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Kennekuk County Preserve in Danville, Illinois. The address is 22296 Henning Rd. The park is located west of Danville, with access from I-74.
Two event options are available.
- Kennekuk Road Runners Dogs and Cats: A 5-hour event where participants can run or walk on the Howl Loop or the Lake Mingo Trail. The registration fee is $30.
- Kennekuk Road Runners Cats and Dogs 5k: A 5K race on the Howl @ the Moon Loop. The registration fee is $35.
Registration for both events closes on May 14, 2026.
The event supports the Vermilion County Animal Shelter. Participants are encouraged to bring donations such as pet food, cleaning supplies, or kitty litter. The shelter will have animals on-site, and participants may have the opportunity to walk or run with a dog.
A limited number of event shirts will be available for purchase on-site. Food will be provided for participants of the 5-hour event after its conclusion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
