Course and race features
The course follows Kenmore Boulevard east to the south end of Summit Lake, connects to the Towpath via the Summit Lake Trail, and uses bridges to pass Summit Lake Nature Center, Summit Lake Park, and cross the Ohio & Erie Canal. The route then heads west and south along the north side of the lake and returns on Kenmore Boulevard, with a short uphill roll that levels before a slight downhill finish. The finishers’ medal includes a physical cowbell with a ringer. The race highlights both urban and natural sections of the area, including Akron’s Music Row and Summit Lake.
