The 12 mile course rises from about 9,318 feet to near 13,060 feet and includes a final roughly 300 foot vertical scramble to the summit, followed by a descent back to Memorial Park. A shorter 11K route climbs to Deer Park and returns to the same finish area.

- 11K (about 6.8 miles)
The 12 mile course lists a total elevation gain of about 3,960 feet and uses several aid station locations including Deer Park and the Notch; the summit turnaround has no aid. The event is cupless so participants must carry their own container for refilling at aid stations. There is no crew access outside the start and finish areas and pacers are not allowed. Drop bags are available at the start/finish area and at aid stations as noted.
Organizers note a course cutoff of roughly 5.5 hours and reserve the right to turn runners around at the Notch if summit conditions deteriorate. The run has historical origins tied to a 1908 bar bet and has been organized as an annual event since 1978. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
