Kendal to Preston ULTRA 50
The Kendal to Preston ULTRA 50 is a point-to-point 50-mile trail event held on Saturday 15 May 2027, starting in Kendal and finishing in Preston. The route follows scenic trails, canal towpaths, country lanes and smaller pathways, and is fully marked for competitors. Registered participants receive full route information and a GPX file shortly before the event.
The event provides chip timing, participant tracking, seven checkpoints with water, cordial and supplementary snacks, well stocked aid stations, medals and finishers hoodies. There is a maximum permitted completion time of 13 hours. Due to the event format there are some urban sections and road crossings where runners may need to slow or stop.
Entry is by pre-registration only, restricted to participants aged 18 or over, with an entry fee of £95 and registration closing on 9 May 2027. Participants must collect a race pack and pass a kit check on the day of the event. Mandatory kit includes a waterproof coat with sealed seams, a long sleeved base layer, a water bottle or bladder holding at least 1 litre, a fully charged mobile phone, a foil blanket and a whistle.
Transport options include parking at the Preston finish with coach transfer to the start, and camping is available at Lakeland Maze Farm Park the night before.
