Jackass Half Marathon & 5K - Kellogg, ID
The Silver Valley Chamber presents the Jackass Half Marathon and 5K, a point-to-point race on the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. The half marathon runs from historic Wallace to Uptown Kellogg and is described as mostly downhill. The courses pass alongside the Coeur d'Alene River and through the foothills of the Silver Valley during the autumn season.
The event includes multiple distance options:
- Half marathon (13.1 miles) point-to-point on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes
- 5K route from near Elizabeth Park to Kellogg
- Kid's Half Marathon non-timed program with a 1.1 mile finish on race day
The Kid's Half Marathon requires participants to log 12 miles before race day using running, walking, biking, swimming, or other sport activities, with a parent or coach signing each mile. Eligible participants must be able to walk and be age 13 or younger on race day; all Kid's participants receive a t-shirt.
Race logistics include packet pick-up the day before and on race morning, and a mandatory bus shuttle for runners and walkers at the Silver Mountain Parking Lot.
