2026 Jackass Half Marathon & 5K
The Jackass Half Marathon & 5K takes place on October 3, 2026 in Kellogg, Idaho. Presented by the Silver Valley Chamber, the event is the seventh annual running of these races. Both point-to-point courses use the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and finish in Uptown Kellogg after routes that run along the Coeur d'Alene River and through the foothills of the Silver Valley during the fall season. The half marathon course is mostly downhill.
Distances
- 13.1 miles point to point on the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes
- 5K from near Elizabeth Park to Kellogg on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes
- Kid's Half Marathon non-timed; log 12 miles before race day and finish the final 1.1 mile
A walkers-only category is available; walkers are required to maintain a walking-only pace (approximately 16 to 17 minute miles) and must use the walkers category rather than mixing running and walking in the runners field. The Kid's Half Marathon is open to participants able to walk and up to 13 years old on race day and includes a commemorative t-shirt.
