Jackass Half Marathon & 5K : Kellogg, Idaho
The seventh annual Jackass Half Marathon and 5K takes place in October 2026 in Kellogg, Idaho. The event is organized by the Silver Valley Chamber and features races on the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. The courses run from Wallace to Uptown Kellogg and are point to point and mostly downhill. Runners follow the Coeur d'Alene River and pass through the foothills of the Silver Valley during the autumn season.
Race weekend includes packet pick-up the evening before and race-day packet pick-up near the Silver Mountain Parking Lot by the finish area. All half marathon participants and 5K entrants are required to use a bus shuttle from the Silver Mountain Parking Lot to their start locations. The half marathon uses a mass start for runners and a separate walkers-only start; walkers must adhere to the specified maximum pace or face disqualification. The 5K uses a rolling start. After the races there is shirt pick-up, live music, and a beer garden at the finish line; the event does not include an awards ceremony.
