Jackass Half Marathon & 5K

Jackass Half Marathon & 5K

The Jackass Half Marathon and 5K take place in Kellogg, Idaho on October 3, 2026. Both courses run on the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, with a point-to-point layout that begins in Wallace and finishes in uptown Kellogg. The half marathon follows the river and foothills of the Silver Valley and is described as mostly downhill.

Event logistics include packet pick-up the evening before in the Village at Silver Mountain and additional packet pick-up on race day at the Silver Mountain Parking Lot near the finish. All participants must use the bus shuttle from the Silver Mountain Parking Lot to reach their start locations. The finish area hosts post-race activities including shirt pick-up, live music, and a beer garden.

A walkers-only sub-event is offered with an enforced maximum walking pace and a finish-time limit; participants who plan to alternate walking and running should register with the runner field. A non-timed Kid's Jackass Half Marathon combines pre-race mileage logging with a final 1.1 mile finish on race day; participants must be old enough to walk and be 13 years or younger on race day and will receive a participant t-shirt.
