2026 Jackass Half Marathon & 5K
The seventh annual Jackass Half Marathon & 5K is scheduled for October 3, 2026 in Kellogg, Idaho. Both the half marathon and the 5K use the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes in a point to point format, with the courses running from historic Wallace to Uptown Kellogg.
Event distances include:
- Half Marathon: point to point, mostly downhill course along the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes.
- 5K: course from near Elizabeth Park to Kellogg on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes.
- Kid's Jackass Half Marathon: non timed event, complete 12 miles prior and finish final 1.1 mile.
The route follows the winding Coeur d'Alene River and passes through the foothills of the Silver Valley in October. Registration is offered in multiple categories including a walkers only subevent and a walkers category with a defined maximum walking pace; failure to meet the walkers only requirements can result in disqualification. Pricing varies by registration period and there are separate entries for runners, walkers, and the kid's event.
