Jackass Half Marathon & 5K
The Jackass Half Marathon & 5K takes place on October 3, 2026 in Kellogg, Idaho. The event uses the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes for a point-to-point route that starts in Wallace and finishes in Uptown Kellogg. The half marathon course is mostly downhill and follows the Coeur d'Alene River and Silver Valley foothills. All runners and walkers are required to use a bus shuttle from the Silver Mountain parking area to the start. Packet pick-up is available before race day and at the finish line area. The finish area includes shirt pick-up, live music, and a beer garden; there is no awards ceremony noted.
There are specific entries for walkers with a separate start and a maximum walking pace; walkers who finish faster than the allowed time may be disqualified. A Kid's Jackass Half Marathon is offered as a non-timed, non-competitive option that requires completing 12 miles before race day and finishing the final 1.1 mile on race day. Kid participants must be old enough to walk and be 13 years old or younger on race day. The event lists 629 participants.
