About the race
The Keeper Days 5K Run/Walk is a community running event held in Lighthouse Point on February 6, 2027. The course starts and finishes at Frank McDonough Park and covers 3.1 miles through neighborhood streets in Lighthouse Point.
Registration is first-come, first-served with separate entry fees listed for the general field and for participants aged 12 and under. Packet pick up is scheduled on Tuesday, February 2 and Thursday, February 4 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the John Trudel Community Center at Dan Witt Park. Race morning packet pick up is also available for those who arrive by 7:30.
The course follows local streets, proceeding south on NE 27th Avenue, east on NE 34th Street to NE 28th Avenue, north to East Sample Road and NE 23rd Avenue, then to the roundabout at NE 27th Street as the turnaround before returning to the start/finish at NE 27th Avenue. There is one hydration station on course and a bottle of water will be provided at the finish. A portable restroom will be at the start/finish area.
Event logistics note that the run and the subsequent Keeper Days Parade affect traffic on Lighthouse Drive and Sample Road. Police, firefighters, and volunteers support course safety. Strollers are permitted; dogs, scooters, and skateboards are not permitted on the course. Participants have 90 minutes to complete the 5K.
