Event Overview
The event offers two distances: a 5K run and a 1-mile walk. It takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Glenside, Pennsylvania. The start and finish is at the North Penn VFW Post 676 on Jenkintown Road.
Purpose and Background
The event supports the Glenside 4th of July celebration, including its parade and fireworks, which are entirely funded by donations. The organizer is the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association. The run also honors the memory of a local public servant.

The 5K course is a scenic double-loop through Glenside with rolling hills.
Registration and Logistics
Registration costs $30 until March 22, 2026, after which the price increases to $35. The fee includes a race shirt, subject to availability. Team discounts are available for groups of five or more. Packet pickup is available on Friday, April 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and on race day from 6:30 to 7:30 AM, both inside the North Penn VFW Post 676.
Awards and Timing
Medals are awarded to the top three overall finishers for each gender. Age group awards are also given for each gender across multiple categories. The event is professionally timed, with results posted online immediately after the race. The event will be held regardless of weather, and no refunds are offered.
