Event overview
The Keep the Parade Running event in Glenside, Pennsylvania takes place on April 11, 2026. It includes a 5K run and a 1 Mile walk. The course is a double-loop through Glenside with rolling hills. The start and finish are at North Penn VFW Post 676, 2519 Jenkintown Road, Glenside, PA. The event is hosted by the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association (GGPA). Proceeds benefit the Glenside Fourth of July fireworks display. The community has celebrated Independence Day in Glenside since 1904.
Registration, logistics and awards
Registration opens December 15, 2025. Fees are $30 through March 23, which includes a race shirt, and $35 after March 23 with shirts available while supplies last. Team discounts apply for teams of at least five members. Packet pick-up is available in person at North Penn VFW Post 676 the day before the event and on the event day. Awards include medals for the top three overall finishers for each gender and age-group awards for each gender in these categories: 7 & under, 8-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
