Keene Airport 5K
The Keene Airport 5K is a road race held at Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport in Swanzey, New Hampshire on May 17, 2026. The event benefits the Keene Senior Center.
The course begins at the airport terminal and follows a tree lined, flat paved road that passes through wetlands. The route is described as offering more protection from wind and is walker and stroller friendly.
Registration opened January 7, 2026, and closes May 8, 2026; the stated registration fee is $35.00. Bib pickup is available Friday, May 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Keene Senior Center, 312 Marlboro St., Suite 100, Keene, NH; bibs are also available at the airport on race day starting at 8:00 am. Race day registration is available at the airport.
Awards include prizes for the fastest male and female and age group prizes beginning with under 20 and continuing through 90 and over; from age 65 prizes are awarded in five year increments (65 to 69, 70 to 74, and so on). There are random participant prizes including a helicopter ride and a flying lesson for winners who are present. A separate raffle of 20 plus items, valued between $100 and $1,500, is offered with tickets primarily sold to participants, volunteers and Senior Center members; presence is not required to win raffle prizes.
