Brattleboro Turkey Trot
The Brattleboro Turkey Trot is an annual, community running event held at the Brattleboro Country Club near Upper Dummerston Road. It has been run since 1975 and is organized as a gift to local runners by the Red Clover Rovers.
Distances:
- 3 Miles classic course on Upper Dummerston Road
- 1 Mile kids race held beforehand
The event is free to enter, 100 percent volunteer run, and donation funded. Registration is required to receive a bib and to have finishing time recorded. Race day registration is available only online; there is no in person race day registration. Participants are asked to consider making a donation. After event expenses, proceeds will go to Groundworks Collaborative and the Vermont Foodbank.
Check in and bib pickup take place on Thanksgiving morning from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m.; participants should allow extra time for Country Club parking. Strollers are welcome; dogs are not permitted. The public road will remain open during the event, so runners and walkers should keep to the left and be aware of traffic. Weather may be cold, so appropriate clothing is advised.
