Kansas City Comets 5K
The event is a 5K road run scheduled for March 21, 2026 in Independence, Missouri, at Cable Dahmer Arena (19100 E Valley View Pkwy). The course is designed to finish inside the arena on the Comets playing field.
Participants receive a commemorative race T shirt and a finishers medal. Each race package includes two tickets to the Comets exhibition game the same day, and age bracket winners receive vouchers for two free tickets to a future Comets home game. Age bracket winners will be recognized at halftime during the game.
Runners may share parts of the course with KC Comets players and members of the Comets Girls Dance Team. A complimentary Chris Cakes breakfast is provided to race participants; spectators may purchase the same breakfast. Pets are not allowed to finish on the arena turf.
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at the arena will call and on race morning at the venue. Funds raised by the event will support the Love Fund for Children. If the event is cancelled there will be no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
