Event Overview
The 12th Annual KC 5K Run/Walk for Food Pantries takes place in Cass City, Michigan. The event is organized by the Central Thumb Knights of Columbus #8892 and uses the facilities of Our Lady Consolata Parish.
Course Details
The race features a timed 5 km course on mixed surfaces, including pavement, gravel, and footpaths. Part of the route uses a rail trail that crosses the Cass River. There is also a separate one-mile exercise walk that stays within the town on pavement.
Awards & Charity
Awards are given to the overall best female and male runners and walkers. Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age group. Proceeds from the event, after expenses, will benefit two local food pantries: Our Lady Consolata Parish Food Pantry in Gagetown and Revive Ministries Food Pantry in Cass City.
