Kathy's Run for Cancer
This community running event takes place in Richland, Michigan, with the start and finish located at Gull Lake High School, 7753 N 34th St, Richland, MI 49083. The course runs through streets near the Gull Lake schools and the surrounding Richland countryside, with aid stations placed along the route. Due to course limitations, the 10K follows the 5K route twice, with separate start and finish chutes.

The event uses computerized timing with disposable chips and posts live results. Age divisions cover youth through masters categories, from 9 and under up to 80 and over. Packet pickup and registration occur at the high school in the days before and on race day. Technical shirts are guaranteed for online registrants who register by June 23, with no size exchanges at packet pickup.
Fee structure for online registration is provided in tiered periods, with a family discount available for groups of three to five. No refunds are issued. Safety guidelines request social distancing. Bicycles, skateboards, roller-blades, and roller skates are not permitted on the course. Baby strollers are allowed and dogs are not permitted on the course during the event.
Proceeds are intended to support local cancer care centers and to fund a scholarship for Gull Lake High School graduates entering nursing school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
