Kaskaskia Blue Classic 5k
The event is the 9th annual Kaskaskia Blue Classic Alumni and Friends run and walk hosted by the Kaskaskia College Cross Country Team. It takes place on the campus of Kaskaskia College near Centralia, Illinois on August 1, 2026. A virtual participation option is available; virtual registrants receive a race T shirt and can submit a race time for award consideration. Awards will be given and will be determined in part by the number of entries. The organizers will also recognize the virtual participant located the furthest from the KC campus.
Race distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1 mile kids fun run
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes July 30, 2026. The pre-race day registration fee for the main event is $30.00 and the kids fun run registration fee is $15.00. All registration entries receive a race T shirt. The event is presented as a community run and walk on the college campus with both in person and virtual participation options.
