Kansas City Temple Run
The Kansas City Temple Run takes place on September 7, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Liberty Stake Center, 6751 NE 70th Street, Kansas City, MO 64119. The event was established in 2011 and averages more than 2000 participants each year. Organizers have collected food and hygiene items for local charities in past years, including Valor Ranch (2019), Amethyst Place (2021), Della Lamb (2022), Hillcrest Platte County (2023), Mothers Refuge (2024), and Veterans Community Project (2025).

The 5K registration fee is $10.00 and the Kids Dash registration is free. Registration opens July 9, 2026 and closes September 7, 2026. Check-in and bib assignment for the 5K occur race morning from 7:00 to 8:00 in the church parking lot; Kids Dash check-in is from 7:00 to 7:45. 5K registration includes a timing bib, T-shirt, and finisher's medal. Kids Dash registration includes a non-timing bib and finisher's medal.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female finishers and top three male and female masters finishers (40+). Age group awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each category, with results based on Chip Time. Age groups are: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.
The 2026 charity partner is Special Olympics Missouri, an organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
