2026 Kansas City 5K
The 24th annual Head for the Cure 5K takes place on August 23, 2026 at Corporate Woods Building 40, 9401 Indian Creek Parkway, Overland Park, KS 66210. The event is a community run and walk that supports clinical research and local patient programs.
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the event at Corporate Woods Building 40. Race day programming includes a Courage Award ceremony, a Kids Fun Run 100 meter dash, a brain tumor survivor photo, and special recognitions such as Legacy of Love, Keeping the Faith, and Healthcare Hero acknowledgements.
Funds raised through the event will benefit local and regional organizations and programs focused on brain tumor research, care, and support. Named beneficiaries include the University of Kansas Cancer Center, Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute, Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Solace House, the Children’s Brain Tumor Project, Head for the Cure’s Path to Hope, and other national brain cancer programs and educational initiatives.
