Kahawai Point Coastal Classic
The Kahawai Point Coastal Classic is an inaugural community running event on Sunday 4 October 2026 at Kahawai Point, Auckland. The event presents multiple ways to run or walk the coastline and includes on-site food trucks and event shirts for every participant.
The main race is the 8 km Coastal Classic, a mixed-surface course described as roughly 45% trail, 45% coastal and 10% road. Additional options include a community run and a kids run, plus a community walk along the new coastal neighbourhood.

A portion of entry fees is allocated to the Kariaotahi Surf Club to support local volunteer water safety. Entry pricing is a flat fee structure with a family pass option and a single design t-shirt produced for the 2026 event; this inaugural shirt design will not be reprinted. Food Truck Collective will operate at the event centre to provide food after finishing.
