K9K Race
The K9K is a community run held at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan (2001 Monroe Av NE, 49505). The event offers two distances and allows dogs on leash. For 2026 the event added team registration so groups can register together.
Distances:
- 3K - short run or walk through Riverside Park or along the Grand River
- 9K - trail north from Riverside Park around LMCU ballpark and back
Registration for both distances opened on January 5, 2026, and closed on February 28, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30 for the 3K and $35 for the 9K. The event provides shirts and a post-race celebration.
The K9K was created in memory of an officer and the life of service they lived. Proceeds support law enforcement employees and their families, especially during times of hardship, loss, or unexpected need.
