K-State Homecoming Philanthropy 5K and Virtual 5K Run/Walk
The event offers two formats for a 3.1 mile run or walk held from the K-State Alumni Center at 1720 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66506. One option is an in-person 5K that starts and finishes at the Alumni Center. The in-person race awards prizes for first through third place in four categories: non-student male, non-student female, male student, and female student. Students competing in the group competition must participate in person.
A virtual 5K option allows participants to complete the 3.1 mile distance at a place, pace, and time of their choosing. Virtual results are compiled separately from the in-person race and are not eligible for prizes. Virtual packets for registrations that include shipping are mailed the week of September 29; participants who choose not to have packets shipped can pick up their packet on the Friday before the race or on race morning at the K-State Alumni Center.
The registration fee is $30.00 with a $5.00 discount available to K-State Alumni Association members and current K-State students. The discount requires providing an Alumni Association member number or a K-State eID during registration. A T-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by September 17 at noon.
