Justice Run Austin
The Justice Run Austin is a running event held at the Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, Texas. Established in 2021, the event serves as a fundraising initiative to support the construction of The Justice Residences, which are long-term restoration homes for survivors of human trafficking.
The event offers several distance options to accommodate a variety of participants:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K-
- 5K
The Marathon course has a strict 5-hour time limit due to road closure schedules. Participants who expect to finish the full distance in more than 4.5 hours are encouraged to register for the Half Marathon instead.
Registration is open to several age categories, including general admission, seniors (65+), and children. Different pricing tiers are available based on the date of registration, with early bird rates and last-minute options. Participants who register by September 15 are guaranteed an event t-shirt. For those registering after this date, t-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Children aged 0-5 can participate in the 5K for free, though their registration does not include a runner bag or shirt.
The event site is located on Decker Lane, and the organizers note that the specific location and date may be subject to change based on local permitting requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
