Jungle Gardens 7K Trail Run, 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run
The Jungle Gardens event takes place on November 7, 2026, on Hwy. 329 at Avery Island, Louisiana. It includes in-person and virtual options and benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The in-person course uses the hard packed road that travels throughout the gardens. 1 Mile, 5K and 7K participants receive finisher medals. Some entries include a t-shirt option; t-shirts for the 5K and 7K are guaranteed for registrations completed by October 20. The virtual entry includes a t-shirt for a stated fee and an optional $8 postage fee for packet shipment.
The event supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The organizer states that families in treatment do not receive bills for treatment, travel, housing or food and that the organizer aims to raise $400,000 in 2026.
Teams may register and the team with the most registered members receives an award. Age groups are listed in standard ranges starting at 1-14 and continuing by decade with a 70+ category for the 5K and 7K. Packet pickup is scheduled at Tri Running, 2813 Johnston St., Lafayette, LA, on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 11am to 6pm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
