Event
HopeFest 5K is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026 in Youngsville, Louisiana at the Youngsville Sports Complex Slemco Amphitheatre (801 Savoy Rd., Youngsville, LA 70592). The event is a charity run and walk benefiting special needs children through the STM Options Program. Distances offered include:
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K School Teams Division
- 5K Business Teams Division
The general 1 Mile and 5K events are open to ages 1 to 100.
Logistics and awards
Pre-registration is listed at $30 and the walk-up / race-day rate is $35. Teams are available for schools and businesses. Once a team reaches five members, the first four registrants receive a $5 refund; additional team members register at a reduced fee of $25. The team with the largest membership will receive a prize.
Packet pickup is provided at STM High School in Lafayette for STM students, families, and employees on the day before the event, with a separate public packet pickup at the same location. Race morning packet pickup will be available at the Youngsville Sports Complex. Parking is available at the Sports Complex.
The 5K is chip timed by Pelican Timing. Award certificates are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age group. Cash prizes are awarded to the overall male and female winners.
