About the race
The June Lake Triathlon is held at June Lake Beach in June Lake, California, and is produced under a special use permit from the Inyo National Forest. The event is USAT sanctioned and places swim, bike and run courses around a mountain-framed lake in a canyon that contains three other lakes, streams and hiking trails. On warm, sunny days the lake surface reflects the surrounding peaks; in 2024 athletes experienced a water temperature of 69 degrees. Distances offered at the event include: - Kids Race: Swim 50 m; Bike 1.9 mi; Run 0.9 mi - Sprint: Swim 750 m; Bike 7.8 mi; Run 3.1 mi - Olympic: Swim 1500 m; Bike 24.7 mi; Run 6.2 mi - Long Course: Swim 1.2 mi; Bike 51.5 mi; Run 12.8 mi The event materials included course maps, an athlete guide, photo galleries and past results.
