June Lake Triathlon
The June Lake Triathlon is produced by Alpha Win Racing under a special use permit from the Inyo National Forest. The event takes place at June Lake Beach in June Lake, CA, and is USAT sanctioned. The course sits in a canyon framed by a crescent of mountains and lies near three other lakes, streams, and hiking trails. On calm, sunny days the lake surface reflects the surrounding peaks; in 2024 athletes recorded a water temperature of 69 degrees.
Organizers offer multiple race distances and formats for different age groups and abilities. Distances listed for the event include:
- Kids Race: Swim 50 m, Bike 1.9 mi, Run 0.9 mi
- Sprint: Swim 750 m, Bike 7.8 mi, Run 3.1 mi
- Olympic: Swim 1500 m, Bike 24.7 mi, Run 6.2 mi
- Long Course: Swim 1.2 mi, Bike 51.5 mi, Run 12.8
