Mammoth BUFF - Beer Mile Run
Mammoth BUFF is a beer mile event held in Mammoth Lakes at The Village, with laps run around the Lincoln House building. The event takes place on September 18, 2026, and registration carries a fee of $30. Bib and swag pickup are available in The Village at Mammoth before the race.
The course comprises three laps of the Lincoln House building, with a stated distance of 3 x 0.3 mile. The event follows the traditional beer mile format using 12 oz cans: drink a 12 oz beer, run 0.3 mile, repeat twice more, then finish. Sparkling water in 12 oz cans is available as an alternative for participants who prefer a nonalcoholic option. All participants receive three beverages for the run.
A brief is held before the start and runners begin together in a mass start. To receive a finishing time, participants must complete all three laps and consume three 12 oz beverages; finishing times will only be recorded if this requirement is met within 25 minutes of the timing start. Finishing times from this event are included in the BUFF Category omnium and will be used in omnium awards presented on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
