Jug End Loop Ultra - Egremont, MA
Jug End Loop Ultra is a six-hour timed event held at Jug End State Reservation in Egremont, MA on August 22, 2026. The main format uses repeated laps of a 4.2 mile loop on the Jug End Loop Trail, with runners able to complete as many full laps as they choose within the six-hour time limit. No partial 4.2 mile laps are scored after the time cutoff; a 0.75 mile mini loop is opened for the last hour to allow participants to cover additional distance.
The course runs through woods, fields, and an apple orchard. Each 4.2 mile lap includes about 2.1 miles of uphill and 2.1 miles of downhill, with roughly 830 feet of elevation change per lap. The route includes the upper loop section of the trail.
Organizers submitted paperwork to the Department of Conservation and Recreation for the event's 11th edition. The event benefits Louison House in North Adams, MA; past fundraising has exceeded $10,000. The 4.2 Mile John G Memorial Run associated with the event will donate profits to Dana Farber.
Registration features early bird pricing through December 1 and regular pricing afterward; 18 and under register at half price with code SUPERKID.
