Jug End Loop Ultra

Jug End Loop Ultra

Jug End Loop Ultra is scheduled for May 1, 2027 at Jug End State Reservation in Egremont, MA and is organized by BURCS. The event uses a 3 mile John G Memorial loop and is held in a fatass style with a six hour time limit.

The course is a roughly 3 mile loop through woods, fields, and an apple orchard, following the Jug End Loop Trail and including the upper loop. Each lap contains about 1 mile of uphill and 1.5 miles of downhill, with approximately 350' of elevation change per lap.

The event format lets participants run or walk as many complete laps of the 3 mile course as they choose within the six hour limit. No partial laps will be scored after the cutoff. Organizers will provide water and some gatorade powder; participants are expected to bring their own supplies. Entry fees cover insurance and porta potty costs.

Registration includes an early bird period ending December 1, 2026 and regular registration afterward. Youth 18 and under register at half price using code SUPERKID. Teachers, active and retired service members, and first responders may use code SERVICE! for a 10 percent discount. Mugs are available for purchase at the event for $20 at cost.

The event benefits Louison House and Dana Farber. A special giveaway or award is planned for participants who fundraise at least $100 for either charity or who make welcome baskets for Louison House. Awards otherwise may not be given due to the event format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
