Jug End Loop Ultra
The Jug End Loop Ultra takes place on August 22, 2026 at Jug End State Reservation in Egremont, MA. The event is a six hour timed event based on repeated laps of a marked 4.2 mile loop on the Jug End Loop Trail, including the upper loop. Parking may be easier from Guilded Hollow Road where a parking lot connects out to Jug End Road.

- 0.75 miles mini loop used in the final hour
The course runs through woods, fields and an apple orchard. Each full lap contains approximately 2.1 miles of uphill and 2.1 miles of downhill and about 830 feet of elevation change per lap. No partial laps will be scored and incomplete 4.2 mile laps do not count after the six hour cutoff. A shorter mini loop will be available in the final hour to allow completion of common milestone distances.
Registration details note an early bird period ending December 1 and regular fees thereafter. Runners aged 18 and under register at half price with code SUPERKID. Teachers, active and retired service members, and first responders may use code SERVICE! for a 10 percent discount.
This year the event benefits the Louison House in North Adams, MA. The 4.2 Mile John G Memorial Run will donate profits to Dana Farber. Awards include overall male and female winners, expanded age group prizes, a handmade 16 oz ceramic finisher mug, and handmade awards for event champions.
