Course and race details
All in-person races start and finish inside Sam Lynn BallPark. The half marathon follows the Kern River paved trail east, enters Panorama Vista Preserve on dirt trails for a 3.5 mile loop, returns to the paved trail to China Grade Road, then uses Alfred Harrell Highway/China Grade loop (closed road) to climb about 1 mile to the Panorama Bluffs before returning along the bluffs and back to the ballpark.
The 10K begins with the half marathon field and splits at mile 2.8; the 10K then follows a 0.40 mile dirt trail with about 190 feet of elevation gain, joins the Panorama paved trail, and returns to finish inside the ballpark. The 5K is an out-and-back entirely on the Kern River paved trail and is described as flat.
Aid stations are located at miles 1.4, 3.6, 6.1, 7.1, 9.1, 10, and 11.6. Porta potties are at miles 1.5, 3.6, 6.1, 7.1, 10, and 11.5.
