JOYRUN

JOYRUN is the fourth annual community run supporting JoyKC, a nonprofit that provides free, faith-based programming for teens (ages 15+) and adults with disabilities in the Kansas City area. The event takes place on September 26, 2026 at Heritage Park, Shelter 1, 16050 Pflumm Road, Olathe, KS 66062.

Distances offered include:

• 5K (3.1 miles)
• 1 mile run
• 1 mile walk
• Kids 1 mile run or walk for children 12 years and under

Registration fees vary by date. Examples provided by the organizer include:

• 5K: $30 until March 31, $40 until September 1, $45 on race day
• 1 mile run and 1 mile walk: $25 until March 31, $35 until September 1, $40 on race day
• Kids 1 mile: $12 until March 31, $15 until September 1, $20 on race day; children under 5 may participate at no cost

Packet pick-up is available before race day at Community Covenant Church and on race day at Heritage Park, Shelter 1. Registration includes a t-shirt; guaranteed t-shirts are available to participants through September 1, and participants may opt out so those funds are donated to JoyKC. Individual and team fundraising options are available through the registration process. An After Bash celebration follows the event. Dogs are welcome on site when leashed.
