Joy & Justice 5k
The Joy & Justice 5k is a community run and walk held on September 27, 2026, at Timnath Reservoir, 5824 Country Rd 40, Timnath, CO 80547. The event benefits the Joy & Justice organization in Timnath and raises funds for programs that provide joyful experiences for children and their safe parent who are recovering from domestic violence.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K : Joy & Justice 5k Run
- 1 mile : Kids 1 Mile Fun Run (12 and under)
- 3.1 miles : Joy & Justice 5k Walk
- 3.1 miles : Virtual 5k
Registration and fee details vary by event. The in-person 5K Run and 5k Walk each have a registration fee of $30 and open in September 2025 with earlier closing in June 2026. The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run has a $15 fee and a registration period that opens in September 2025 and closes in September 2026. The Virtual 5k has a $40 fee, a registration period starting January 2026 and closing on the event date, and includes a mailed race bib and shirt. Virtual participants may run or walk on their own and submit results between October 12 and October 15 for inclusion on the results page.
Proceeds fund Joy & Justice initiatives such as birthday parties, tickets to events, small local trips, and extracurricular activities intended to promote healing for survivors of domestic violence and to improve safety in the justice system for children.
