Journey for Change 2026
Journey for Change 2026 takes place on September 19, 2026 at Steen Park in Aylmer, Ontario. The event theme is Fight the Good Fight and it is organized by Family Central to raise funds for local support services.
Family Central states that every dollar raised will go directly toward food assistance, crisis support, mentoring and life coaching, mental health supports, and practical resources for survival and stability. The event page lists a fundraising goal of CA$200,000, with CA$7,675.09 raised so far and 37 participants recorded.
Participants can choose from walking, running, cycling, or a motorcycle ride. All routes begin and conclude at Steen Park.
Distances and options include:
- 5 km walk - family-friendly route through Aylmer parks and trails
- 12 km run or bike
- 24 km run or bike
- 34 km run or bike
Run and cycle routes follow Imperial Road toward Port Bruce and will have support and hydration stations available along the way. Motorcycle route details are provided to registered riders on event day.
Fundraising milestones include a Journey for Change T-shirt for those who raise CA$100 and a hoodie for those who raise CA$500. Sponsorship levels range from Community Partner (CA$500+) to Legacy Partner (CA$10,000+). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
