Jordanelle Triathlon : Race overview
The Jordanelle Triathlon is presented at Jordanelle State Park in Kamas, Utah. The event is described as Utah’s longest running triathlon and is listed among Triathlete Magazine’s Top 100 events. It has hosted USA Triathlon regional championships.
The course uses open water and a mix of terrain. The bike routes include scenic sections through Francis and Woodland and pass a bison farm on the Olympic-distance course. The run course passes river bottom boardwalks in the Rock Cliff Recreation Area. The organizer highlights clear open water and scenic bike courses as notable course features.
Race categories cover Olympic and sprint triathlon distances, Olympic and sprint aquabike, sprint and Olympic duathlon, and an Olympic relay entry option.
A new VIP package is available that delivers the event shirt, a goodie bag, and the race bib to a participant’s home. Annual USA Triathlon members must provide their ID and USAT card at the scheduled delivery. VIP participants still go to the VIP line on race morning to receive their timing chip. The VIP delivery option has a cutoff two weeks before the race.
