About the race
Joondalup Running Festival is organised by the West Australian Marathon Club and takes place at Neil Hawkins Park in Joondalup in May 2027. The event offers multiple race options:
- 21.1 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 300 m Kids Dash (approximate distance, open to children under 12 and free to enter)
All registered participants in the 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km and Kids Dash receive a finisher medal. Electronic timing is used with disposable timing chips attached to the race bib; bibs are non-transferable and must be worn flat on the front of the body. There is a $10 surcharge for replacement bibs if a participant turns up without their issued bib.
Online registrations are scheduled to close on 13 May 2027 at midday unless sold out, and a late registration penalty may apply to non-members from the Saturday before the event. Bib collection details are to be confirmed; there will be no general bib collection on race morning without prior arrangement, although exceptions may be available for participants travelling from outside the Perth metro area by prior request.
Awards include top three male and female finishers in the 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km, plus junior awards for first male and female under 16 in 10 km and 5 km. Pacers are provided for the half marathon. Use of headphones is strongly discouraged for safety. Half marathon entrants must be at least 16 years old on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
