Jones o Gymru Anglesey Half Marathon and 10k
The Anglesey Half Marathon and 10k event takes place in Mona, Ynys Môn, featuring a central event village at the Mona Showground. The races are held on fully closed-road routes, offering a traffic-free environment through the countryside of North Wales. The course is described as undulating and provides views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile road race.
- 10k: A 10 km road race.
- Dragons Dash: A 1.3 mile race for children aged five and over.
The event includes professional chip timing with live online results. On-course support is provided through signage, marshals, energy stations, and support vehicles. The event village at the Mona Showground features music, commentary, food, a secure bag drop, and toilet facilities.
Finishers receive unique mementos designed to reflect the local history and location of the event. Past mementos have included slate and mugs rather than traditional medals.
