Johnny Miles Weekend 2026
The Johnny Miles Weekend takes place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. It is presented by the YMCA of Pictou County. The start and finish location is the New Glasgow Town Hall at 111 Provost Street. Kit pick-up is at Glasgow Square, 155 Riverside Parkway.
Multiple race distances are offered:
- 5 km (The CIBC Wood Gundy 5 km)
- 10 km (The Sobeys 10 km)
- Half Marathon (Advocate Half Marathon)
- Youth 5K (Michelin Youth 5K, for participants aged 18 and under)
The courses are described as mainly flat, scenic, and looped. They are certified by Athletics Canada. Volunteers provide support along the way.
Regular registration is $45 plus tax and fees until June 14, then $50 plus tax and fees. The Youth 5K is $34.99. No refunds or deferrals are offered.
The included race kit features a personalized bib, a Dry Fit running hat, chip timing, a finisher's medal, post-race snacks and refreshments, and free race photos. Dry Fit shirts are available for an additional $12 plus tax, with an order deadline of June 1.
Kit pick-up is on Saturday, June 20 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, June 21 from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at Glasgow Square. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
