John Wayne Grit Series – Fort Worth 5K

The course weaves through the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, begins at the "John Wayne: An American Experience" exhibit at 2501 Rodeo Plaza, follows cobblestone streets and sections of the Trinity Trail, and returns to the Stockyards with views of the downtown Fort Worth skyline.
The 5K is open to participants ages 10 and up. Participants receive a John Wayne Grit Series shirt and a finisher mug; bibs are picked up at packet pickup and finisher items are distributed at the finish line. Cancer survivors who sign up receive a complimentary yellow bandana at packet pickup while supplies last.
The event operates as cup less. Runners should use a hydration pack or handheld bottle with a large opening for volunteer refills. There is an aid station near the 1.5 mile mark that runners pass twice. The event includes a race component with podium prizes for three female and three male winners.
