Annapolis Striders John Wall Memorial One Mile Track Run
The 45th annual John Wall Memorial One Mile Track Run takes place on June 27, 2026, at Annapolis High School. The event covers one mile, which on the track is four laps of the 400 meter surface plus an additional 9.344 meters, equal to 1,609.344 meters or 5,280 feet.
Online registration is available through Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Entry fees vary by membership status: Annapolis Striders members have a reduced online rate, while non-members have a different online rate; race day fees are higher. Some season or bundle registrants are already registered for this race and do not need to register again.
The event begins with a youth heat for runners aged 10 and younger. Subsequent heats are organized by estimated finish time from slower to faster. A time range will be announced for each heat and may be adjusted if needed; participants should be present near the start when their heat is called.
Race timing uses a chip system; chips must be picked up before a heat, attached to the top of the shoe, and returned after the heat. Race rules prohibit headphones, strollers or other wheeled conveyances, and animal accompaniment. Awards are presented after the final heat for overall male and female winners, Masters 40 and over, and top finishers in five-year age groups.
