John Shapiro’s Superheroes 5K
John Shapiro’s Superheroes is a community race held annually; the 14th running takes place on June 6, 2026 in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania at St. Helena School. The event raises funds for the John Shapiro Superheroes Foundation, which directs proceeds to local families with children battling cancer.
The event program includes packet pickup the day before, morning race day registration, welcome festivities with a student band performance and a national anthem, a one mile run, a 5K race, and a short kids fun run for registered children age six and under. Awards are announced after the kids fun run and there is a post race gathering at a local restaurant in Blue Bell that has hosted a dine and donate.
Registration is open in advance and race organizers note that early registration helps guarantee a race t shirt. The event is presented by sponsors and includes stories from families the foundation has supported.
