14th Annual John Shapiro Superheroes 5K 2026

The event takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at St. Helena School in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. It combines in-person and virtual participation options so people can take part locally or from another location.

5K Run
1 Mile Run/Walk
Fun Run for children 6 and under

The virtual option occurs on the same day and allows participants to choose their own time, distance and location for the run or walk. Race-day registration is available. A race t-shirt is provided to participants who register by May 21. Awards are presented immediately after the fun run for children.

The event is presented as a tribute to the memory of a child who died of brain cancer after several years of treatment. All proceeds benefit a charitable foundation that supports local families with children battling cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
