About the race
The memorial sprint triathlon and duathlon take place at Poynton Leisure Centre on Sunday 27 September 2026. The venue address is Yew Tree Lane, SK12 1PU, United Kingdom.
Organised by Stockport Tri Club, the triathlon consists of a 400 m pool swim with controlled lanes and seeded starts, followed by an approximately 20 km undulating bike ride around Higher Poynton lanes and an approximately 5 km run along the Middlewood Way. The duathlon format is a 5 km run, 20 km bike and 5 km run.

Entry fees are set at a lower rate for early entries and increase after the end of June; fields may use waiting lists when full. The event is licensed by British Triathlon and will be timed by the event timing partner using chip timing. Competitors are required to hold a British Triathlon race licence or to purchase a race pass as part of entry.
Refunds are considered only if a reserve is found to take a place and transfers are not permitted. Finishers may be offered a medal and can indicate during entry if they do not want one for sustainability reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
