John Sanders Memorial STC Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon
Stockport Tri Club stages a sprint triathlon and a duathlon at Poynton Leisure Centre in September 2026. The event is held at Poynton Leisure Centre, Yew Tree Lane, SK12 1PU, United Kingdom, and is licensed by British Triathlon.
The triathlon format uses a 400 m pool swim with controlled lanes and seeded starts, followed by an approximately 20 km undulating bike route around the lanes of Higher Poynton, and an approximately 5 km run taking in the Middlewood Way. The duathlon format comprises a 5 km run, a 20 km bike and a final 5 km run. Chip timing will be used and the timing partner is Nifty Event Services.
Entry information includes an age minimum of 15 on 31 December 2026 and a tiered fee structure: entries are priced at £25 for entries made before the end of June and at £30 thereafter. Entries close in September 2026. The event offers a finishers medal with an option to decline the medal during entry for sustainability reasons. Entries require British Triathlon membership and a race licence or a British Triathlon race pass; non members may purchase a race pass as part of entry.
