The John Muir Way Nocturnal Ultra Marathon
The event takes place on 07 Nov 2026 at Balgone Barns on the John Muir Way in East Lothian, North Berwick EH39 5NY. Runners have six hours to complete as many laps as possible of a marked off-road loop of approximately 5 km per lap. Solo entries and team relay entries are available, with teams of up to three runners able to share laps.
The route is an off-road trail loop that passes a tented base on each lap. The tented base provides space for kit, food and support. The event environment includes music and lights, and there may be fire features on parts of the route. Participants are advised to bring trail kit and a headtorch.
Entry was available in two categories with set entry fees and a closing date of 04 Nov 2026 at 11:59. A service fee applies to each sign-up.
