John Hewitt Memorial Shelf Moor Fell Race
The John Hewitt Memorial Shelf Moor Fell Race, organized by Glossopdale Harriers, is a challenging 6-mile (9.6 km) fell race with 1,499 feet (457 m) of ascent, held near Old Glossop in the Peak District. The flagged and marshalled course features notable landmarks including three nearby aircraft wrecks, with the highest point near the B-29 "Overexposed" at 2,038 feet, offering extensive views.
