Joe's Run, Walk and Roll : Hoyt Park, Wauwatosa
Joe's Run, Walk and Roll is the 29th annual community event held at Hoyt Park in Wauwatosa, Milwaukee. The event offers multiple participation options and a fully accessible route. A post-race reception includes a complimentary light lunch and a photo booth.
Distances and options:
- 5K run (timed, chip timing)
- 3K fun walk/roll (non-timed, accessible route)
- Kids Fun Run for children under 10 or those needing a shorter distance
- Virtual Run/Walk/Roll completed from any location
The event benefits Broadscope Disability Services and provides funding for Respite, Independent Living, and Employment programs that serve people with disabilities and their families. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups and trophies are given to the overall first-place male and female 5K finishers.
Virtual participants receive a race t-shirt and shipping as part of their fee; t-shirts are mailed in September. Route options are provided for timed racers, non-timed walkers or rollers, and a shortest non-timed route for participants seeking a brief course. Parking is available in the Hoyt Park lot and along Menomonee River Parkway; the event setup is on the east side of the Menomonee River.
