JMU PASS Charity 5K
The JMU Physician Assistant Student Society (PASS) presents the 5th Annual Charity 5K on the East Campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, with the start and finish located behind the Festival Conference and Student Center. The event benefits Open Doors and the Blue Ridge Free Clinic.
The event features a single race distance: 5K. Entry categories include Current Student, Non-Student, and 17 & Under, plus two T-shirt-only options (with U.S. shipping and without shipping). Registration fees vary by category: Current Student ($25, valid student ID required), Non-Student ($30), 17 & Under ($20, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian), T-shirt with shipping ($30), and T-shirt without shipping ($20). Registration opens in July or August 2026 depending on the option and closes in October 2026.
Open Doors provides year-round overnight shelter for adults experiencing homelessness and daytime drop-in services at the Navigation Center. Blue Ridge Free Clinic provides healthcare services to hundreds of members of the Harrisonburg community who would otherwise have limited access to care. Prizes are awarded to multiple age groups and first place finishers. Post-race snacks and refreshments are provided.
