Jenkintown Sunset 5K Run
The event is the 34th Annual Jenkintown Sunset 5K, held in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. The 5K course winds through the borough on tree-lined streets and does not cross Old York Rd. The finish area and post-race activity take place near Jenkintown Borough Town Square.
The event includes live music, food vendors, and prizes for age groups and teams. Awards include gift certificates and medals for the top three male and female finishers, medals for the top three in each age category, and medals for the top three teams. Organizers do not distribute finisher medals to all participants.
There is a Kids Dash for children ages six and under; no registration is required for the Kids Dash and every child receives a prize. Open team registration is available for teams of four or more, and team awards are part of the event structure.
Registration is offered in individual, team, and child categories with tiered fees for different registration periods. All registered runners receive a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last. Packet pickup is available at a local running store before the event and at pre-race check-in on race day. The event proceeds support the Kiwanis Foundation of Jenkintown and its community programs. The event is held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
