Jenkintown Sunset 5K Run 2026
The Jenkintown Sunset 5K Run returns for its 34th annual edition in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. This evening event features a 5 km race through the borough, alongside a dedicated Kids Dash for younger participants. The course is designed to wind through scenic, tree-lined residential streets without crossing Old York Road.
The event offers the following distances and categories:
- 5 km run with chip timing and multiple starting corrals based on pace.
- Kids Dash for children aged six and under (no registration required).
Participants in the 5 km race are organized into starting corrals ranging from under 7 minutes per mile to over 11 minutes per mile. The route is situated entirely within the borough, and the race takes place rain or shine. After the run, a celebration is held at the Jenkintown Borough Town Square featuring live music and food.
Registered runners receive a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 11 and under to 80 and over. Proceeds from the event support local community programs through the Kiwanis Foundation of Jenkintown. Team registration is available for groups of four or more participants.
