Event Overview
The Jenelle Hohman Color Me Happy Walk & 5K Color Run is an annual event organized by NAMI Hancock County. This event takes place at Riverside Park in Findlay, Ohio, with the primary objective of raising awareness for mental health. The proceeds generated from the activities are used to fund various free programs, including classes, support groups, and activities within the local community.
Course Information
The event features a color-themed route where participants may have colored corn powder thrown on them. Two main participation options are available:
- 5K Color Run
- Walk
Participants who prefer not to have powder thrown on them can obtain a specific sticker at the registration pavilion to alert staff at the various stations along the course.
Activities and Amenities
The event site at Riverside Park includes a dedicated Kid Zone and a NAMI information booth. Registered participants have access to a light breakfast before the physical activities begin. Following the run and walk, an awards ceremony is held to recognize participants.
Registration Details
Registration is open for different age categories, including adults and children. Individuals aged five and under may participate for free, though this does not include a t-shirt. For other participants, registration fees include a t-shirt if completed by the specified deadline in early May. Members of the organizing association are eligible for a reduced registration rate.
