Run for Kicks 5k & Trail Run
Run for Kicks is the first annual community race held on June 7, 2026 in Van Buren, Ohio. The event is based at the Van Buren Sports Complex, 12829 SR-613, Van Buren, OH 45889. The 5 km road race and the 10 km trail run both start and finish at the sports complex. The 10 km course runs through Van Buren State Park and is described as a true trail run with tree roots, mud, and natural terrain.
Three distances are offered:
- 5 km Road Race (registration fee $30)
- 10 km Trail Run (registration fee $30)
- 1 mile Fun Run (registration fee $5)
Registration and shirt details vary by event. The 10 km trail run and the Fun Run have registration closing dates on May 27, 2026; the 5 km road race has a later registration close date on June 7, 2026. A shirt option is available with registration through 11 PM on May 27, 2026; after that date there will be a limited supply of shirts available for purchase on the day of the event.
